Juniper berries are the fruit of juniper and one of its best known uses is the aromatization of Geneva, in fact, this drink owes its name to the term that calls the juniper in French, Genévrier, although it is also used in the production of other drinks for aromatization such as, for example, Finnish beer.

Characteristics of Juniper Berries
Juniper is found in the mountainous areas of the coldest parts of Europe, Asia and North America. Juniper berries have always been valued for their medicinal benefits, even before extending their use in cooking, as they are considered as digestive, balsamic, expectorant, diuretic, and antiseptic among many other qualities attributed to it.
Uses of juniper berries
In cocktails its use is totally extended for the aromatization of Gin&Tonics and cocktails whose base is the gin; in what is related to our culinary recipes they are ideal to aromatize red meats. In order to obtain an optimal result we must crush them a little before adding them to our cocktail or dish.
